We are very excited to announce that Habitat for Humanity International has recognized this accomplishment with a nation award in its new "Best Low Carbon Footprint" category.

Spring Build
Locally organized and staffed, student build in Shongopavi, Hopi Lands, AZ. Straw Bale, Cob home with green house. Local lumber, clay & sand from with in 10 miles of the site (some on site!), hand quarried local stone, plaster lath made from invasive species, Foam Free, cork insulation in floor. Mortgage cost to homeowner; $50k

A 400sqft ADU in the heart of Greensboro, NC. A collaboration between Hearth Design Build and Inhabit: Sustainable Living Solutions. Foam-free envelope with natural cork siding/insulation. It was featured in the FYI Network's "He Shed, She shed".
