DesignBuildBLUFF is a graduate architecture program at the University of Utah focused on immersing students in hands-on cross-cultural experiences. We work in partnership with the Rural and Native communities of San Juan County in the Utah Four Corners.

Habitat for Humanity Gunnison Valley Construction
Builder Cillian Barrett discusses the design and building of a 1,000-square-foot, two-bedroom Habitat for Humanity home in Gunnison, a community nestled in the valleys of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 7,703 feet. The home features 20-inch wall cavities, a breathable wall system, and heat recovery ventilation heat pump system. This January, in the middle of winter, the house generated a $50 electric bill in a completely electric-powered home. In the 2nd part, Cillian will focuses on energy performance and cost.
